For some time now, not much have been heard of the one time reggae star, Stereoman, popularly known as Ekwe Sample who also doubled as a Glo ambassador until news filtered into town last week that he was arrested for the murder of his baby mama, one Rukayat Idris. He is currently being detained at D4 section of the state CID, Panti.
The deceased was found dead in her car under a bridge around Mile 2 - Badagry expressway last month with marks on her neck suggesting she was strangulated. The family of Rukayat Idris (deceased) reported the incident to the police where they pointed accusing fingers at Ekwe Sample.
It was however gathered that the reggae star and the deceased who happens to be the mother of his daughter have been living together with their daughter for some time until last year when he terminated the love affair and packed out of the house to live on his own. It was nevertheless alleged that while they lived together, Stereoman was reported to have always battered her - a situation, which was speculated led to their separation. Stereoman has however denied having anything to do with the murder of Rukayat Idris.
