NJC Recommends Salami's Reinstatement.

The National Judicial Council (NJC) has recommended the reinstatement of Justice Isa Ayo Salami to his job as Pesident of the Court of Appeal during a meeting at Abuja yesterday. This came nine months after the embattled Justice was suspended.
The recommendation was adopted by NJC with a five-man panel headed by the incoming Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Maryam Aloma Mukhtar.
The act of the NJC has nevertheless drawn the admiration of Gov. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State who hailed the recommendation, saying, truth has finally prevailed.
It should be recalled that Justice Salami was suspended by same Council on August, 18th of last year following his refusal to apologise to the former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Aloysius I. Katsina-Alu for allegedly lying on oath against him.
However, before the supporters of Salami should roll their drums for joy, it should be noted that this is yet a recommendation, as approval lies with the Chief Executive Officer of the Federation. We await our dear President's stance on this.
