| Hon. Farouk Lawan. |
Well, most of y'all must've been abreast with the news about the oil subsidy bribery scandal rocking the the House of Representatives? Newspapers (at least the ones I've access to) have nevertheless being so moderate about the whole saga by applying the helpful tool of anonymity. But the bubbles have bursted as the member of the ad hoc committee of the House of Representatives on Oil Subsidy scam who have over time being aired as having received bribe from an oil magnate to the tune of $600,000 is no other person but the Chairman himself, Hon. Farouk Lawan.
It was shocking to me and my fingers shaking as I perused through the source, wherein the legislator claimed that he only collected the bribe to use as evidence against the oil cabal. If the story is true, why did he wait till he was exposed to make the claim? Why didn't he inform any member of the House until the security services blew the lid off the deal?
I only pray and wish this is not true. I just wish it's all a set-up.
